Big Brother Houseguest Analysis (Blogcritics.org)
Thoughts on season ten houseguests. I have a problem. I have an obsession with the reality TV show, Big Brother, in which thirteen strangers live in a house together for three months. It’s not healthy. Not only do I watch every episode, but I watch the live feeds every night from 9-12 on Showtime. I love it and it’s my guilty pleasure. It occupies so much of my time...

MAGGIE-NIFICENT! MAGS WINS BIG BROTHER 6
SPICY LATINA LOSES TO HOUSE-MAMA MAGGIE

The cost of victory proves too pricey for the Spicy Latina as
Ivette is voted out of the half-million dollars by a vindictive Jury decision. In a 4 to 3 vote, Maggie is awarded the Grand Prize of $500,000 for her mighty powers of manipulation and the crafty corruption of her less gifted housemates. Ivette is stoney-faced over her second-place prize, but on the bright side, she is out of the BIG BROTHER 6 house at last.

REFLECTIONS OF SIMPLER, OR MORE SINISTER DAYS
There’s a walk down memory lane to remember the 14 original HouseGuests in the BIG BROTHER 6’s Summer of Secrets. Eric’s brief rule is recalled before we move on to King Kaysar’s reign. Mistakes are relived, and evictions reminisced as the BIG BROTHER 6 house is whittled down to the final pair and the seven-member Jury.

Making it to the final round of the BIG BROTHER 6 Summer of Secrets has involved fancy footwork, fast thinking and a few personal touches that the finalists believe gave them the edge on their housemates. Ivette claims her success came from her game plan to be “blunt, honest and outspoken. I’m loud,” Ivette explains, adding that in the BIG BROTHER 6 house, “I was 100% Ivette.”

Maggie sees her own longevity stemming from her choice of allies and her competitive nature. “I did not break anyone’s trust that I cared about in this game,” Maggie claims, admitting that “because of the loyalty to certain people” and their reciprocated allegiance, she was often protected from nomination. Mags also credits her understanding of the mix of egos and personalities in the house as her strong suit in the game, as she was able to avoid trouble where others got entangled. “Sometimes I really wanted to say something, but I bit my tongue.”

Big Brother Baddie Gets Beaten

September 6th, 2005 in

Insider - [TV Guide Online]
by Angel Cohn

James Rhine of Atlanta kicked off the sixth season of Big Brother with shady playing that included plenty of lying and deceiving. Doing so made the 29-year-old loss-prevention manager (who claimed he was a teacher) a huge target for the houseguests. They tried to evict him multiple times, taking out his beloved show partner and real-life girlfriend, Sarah Hrejsa, in the process. But the tough player kept winning the Power of Veto and used his skills at manipulation to pit the two alliances against each other. After his luck finally ran out last Thursday, he spoke with TVGuide.com before heading to the sequester house ‚Äö?Ñ?Æ and showed off a surprisingly softer side.

TVGuide.com: For a bit, it seemed like the two alliances were more concerned about taking each other down than in ousting you.
James Rhine: Unfortunately, they didn’t completely forget about me. [My plan] was working for a while. [Later] I felt deep inside that it was a lost cause, but I felt like I was going to try to take out as many people as possible.

TVGuide.com: You sound defeated, but on TV it didn’t seem like you gave up hope.
James: Oh, I would never give up hope. I knew that, as bad as it sounds, I was dealing with people who weren’t really that intelligent. So they made some of my work easy.

The Friendship Takes Control Of The Game

September 4th, 2005 in

Big Brother fans were outraged on Friday when CBS cut the live feeds again in order to keep certain competitive elements of the game secret. After watching Saturday night‚Äö?Ñ?¥s episode, Big Brother fans that were sticking around in hopes of seeing Howie Gordon or Janelle Pierzina take home the half-million dollar prize will probably be doing their own black out of the live feeds.

Howie gets two light sabers in his head of household gift basket. Beau seems to be particularly impressed by Howie‚Äö?Ñ?¥s light saber and engages Howie in some ‚Äö?Ñ??sword fighting‚Äö?Ñ?? when the lights go off.

Holly King from Big Brother 5 shows up to host the power of veto competition which is called ‚Äö?Ñ??Big Brother Casino.‚Äö?Ñ?? The competition is set up like a craps game and involves betting on the roll of a pair of dice and answering questions correctly. Holly King instructs the houseguests that ‚Äö?Ñ??If you want to win a power that is totally neato then you have to make sure that you roll me a veto.‚Äö?Ñ?? Maggie Ausburn wins the power of veto. Kaysar Ridha From Big Brother 6 Makes The ‚Äö?Ñ??It‚Äö?Ñ?¥ List

September 3rd, 2005 in

Reality TV Magazine

Kaysar Ridha might have been evicted twice from the Big Brother 6 house by his fellow houseguests, but outside the house he is white hot. Reality TV Magazine recently reported on Kaysar seeking the advice of his fans over whether he should take an offer to appear on a soap opera. Well, Kaysar wound up taking the offer and will be making an appearance on The Young and The Restless.

Kaysar will play a magazine editor aboard the Newman Jet. Kaysar taped his segment on Thursday, September 1, which will be in an episode airing on Wednesday, October 5. Reality TV fans are also still clamoring to get Kaysar and his secret partner cast Michael Donellann cast on The Amazing Race. If Kaysar and Michael do make it on the Amazing Race, then it won‚Äö?Ñ?¥t be the first time that a former Big Brother contestant has appeared on the show. Big Brother 4 contestant Allison Irwin appeared on Amazing Race 5 with her boyfriend Donny.

After receiving over 4.1 million votes in the America‚Äö?Ñ?¥s Choice poll that allowed viewers to return an evicted houseguest to the Big Brother 6 house, Kaysar Ridha is now tearing up another poll. Kaysar Ridha has bowed in on MSNBC‚Äö?Ñ?¥s The ‚Äö?Ñ??It‚Äö?Ñ?? List at number 5, joining celebrities like Johnny Depp, Kate Hudson, Matt Damon, and Lisa Kudrow.
